Vienna: The New Home of European High-End Audio

After decades at Munich’s MOC, Europe’s leading High-End show moved to the Austria Center Vienna. The relocation places the event in a city with an unusually deep connection to the history of music.
In Giuseppe D’Agata’s report, the Austria Center emerges as a better organised venue than its predecessor, with greater care in room setup and many spaces capable of delivering convincing acoustic performance.
Key themes of the edition include the growth of streaming and network ecosystems, increasing attention to clocking and galvanic isolation, new digital sources and transports and, at the same time, traditional systems that continue to give CD and analogue playback a central role.
Vienna therefore opens a new chapter for one of Europe’s most important High-End audio events.
